Bermudagrass – 2013
Bill Monroe inventeda new style of music, something that mixed the old time mountain music of his Uncle Pen and the blues he learned from the hired hands on his family's farm. He called it Bluegrass.
I've always had a passion for a wide variety of musical styles. I love playing Bluegrass on all the instruments that it's played on - banjo, dobro, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, doghouse bass. Then there's the spirit, the rhythm of the Caribbean. It was when I was younger, living in Santa Cruz California that I first got into Reggae and Ska music, which lead me down to the Islands for a few years. Down in the Antilles I was exposed to all kinds of musical styles: Calypso, Soca, Zouk, Skiffle, Salsa, Mazouka and Beguine. Bermudagrass is my attempt to meld the two styles, using Caribbean rhythms with Bluegrass instrumentation. This CD is all instrumental representing those influences.
Island Time – 2001
This is an album of our original Caribbean R&B band which started in St John USVI twenty years prior, Yow Baby!
Savannah Blu – 2008
Like the title says, Bluegrass Rules! Traditional California Newgrass - we like to play in the classic style....and then bend it a little, integrating originals and traditionals with old and new songs to make an intriguing and extremely entertaining mix.
Life's A Beach – 2011
This is an album of tunes mostly in the Bermudagrass mode with vocals. I've included some other originals that sing to the heart from earlier sessions as well. Hope you enjoy the mix!.
